Week 3: “The Feedback Mindset”

October 13, 2026•1 min read

Coach’s Corner

Feedback is one of the fastest ways to learn, yet it is often the hardest to receive well. Defensiveness closes the loop before learning can happen.

This week is about practising openness: hearing feedback fully before deciding how much of it applies.

TIDAL Tip of the Week

The next time you receive feedback this week, pause before responding and ask yourself:

•What is the other person actually trying to tell me?

•Is there a piece of this that is useful, even if the delivery was imperfect?

•How can I respond in a way that keeps the door open for more feedback later?

Leaders who are known for being open to feedback tend to receive more of it, and better quality, over time.
