Week 1: Making Space

July 06, 20261 min read

Theme of the Month: “Innovation & Creativity”

Innovation is not a moment of inspiration. It is a system of thinking. Creativity grows where curiosity is encouraged and experimentation is supported. This month explores how leaders create conditions where innovation becomes sustainable rather than occasional.

Innovation also requires psychological safety, disciplined follow-through, and a willingness to challenge comfortable routines. It is both creative and strategic. When leaders intentionally nurture new thinking while maintaining clarity of direction, innovation becomes repeatable rather than accidental.

Coach’s Corner

Creativity needs space to emerge. When leaders operate in constant reaction mode, innovation disappears.

Intentional space for reflection allows better questions to surface. Without it, teams default to familiar patterns rather than exploring new possibilities. When leaders model protected thinking time, they signal that creativity is valued, not secondary to execution.

TIDAL Tip of the Week

Schedule focused thinking time. Ask yourself these questions:

  • What problems require a new perspective?

  • Where are we repeating old solutions?

  • What opportunity are we not exploring?

Protect this time deliberately.
