Invisible Mirrors: How Your Team Reflects You

August 22, 20251 min read

Coach’s Corner

Your team is a mirror.

  • Struggling with accountability? Check your follow-through.

  • Confused communication? Start with your clarity.

  • Coaching isn’t about blame, it’s about responsibility.

Executive presence starts from within. Before you try to fix things around you, take a moment to check in with yourself.

TIDAL Tip of the Week

Record a Real Moment

Choose one upcoming leadership moment, a team meeting for instance, an update meeting, or feedback session. Record it using your phone, MS Teams, Zoom.

Reflect with Intent

Afterward, play it back and listen like you're hearing someone else, and then ask yourself:

  • Did I sound clear?

  • Was I confident?

  • Or was I unsure?

Following this, jot down one thing you’d like to adjust, improve or add the next time. Although this will likely seem awkward, the end results are worth the time you invest to make improvements.
